Lester would call that a good throw.

But yeah. Guys that can fire it thru a teacup from 60' 6" that cannot throw even a catchable ball to an infielder has always baffled me.

Mental midgets.

I think it's similar to shooting a jump shot versus a free throw.

Why does Alomora have these panic swings. Whenever he has ducks on the pond lately he hacks at absolute shit. He raked that curve off the dirt.

They are just about there. When strop sucks he sucks. This happened earlier this year. Get him out if you can right now. He will be lights out next time but when he is off its a nightmare. IDK if anyone is left though since Joe Matheny used 4 fucking pitchers last inning for no damn reason.

Another strikeout for the impregnator. There was some story a few days ago that showed first half grades for the cubs based on all aspects of the game. Baez had the highest score, other guys hovered 5-8 above or below the zero mark. Ole Addy Applesead was dead ass last with -33 and no one was even remotely close to him.

God dammit Joe....what in the hell is wrong with you. You just took the bat out of two fucking position players (with hits today) hands in the 7th inning and now have to pinch hit for the pitcher. A 1 run game in the 7th inning and you burn up the entire god damn bench for no reason.

There’s a perfectly good reason . He’s not a very good in game manager .

I think we're well past having to state that.

If one is giving an honest attempt to figure out why he might've done that, one rational possibility is that it got them out of the shit heat earlier than they otherwise would've been out of it. Not touting its merits, or possibly lack thereof, but that's probably the reason.

I can see that being a reason, however, he could have let one of either Kyle or Happ hit, pinch hit for the pitcher and then saved the only other catcher for possible extra innings. It worked today because the pen went into full lockdown mode but I wouldn't try that approach regularly.

Sox fans would call three straight playoff 90 plus win seasons and a Ring a motherfuckin miracle..

Good win. Looks like Hendricks did just enough. Bullpen's been great again. They need to win tomorrow. Need to take 3/4 for teams like the Padres.

Was thinking Brewers doing well too.

Would it be shocking if the Cubs had to play the WC game?
