Hey, Mike just told everyone he has been saying it now for 2 or 3 weeks the Bulls should get this guy!

That a way to give us the Breaking News again Mikey!

So, Mike, just so we are clear. 3 Months into the NCAA season Mike North thinks the Bulls should go after the guy who averages 29 Points a game! Now thats some great Sports Talk!

Plus, I am just guessing Adam will be drafted higher than 10th? Just a guess.

I guess it's better than listening to Mike talk to Annie and Fred about what they did during the weekend.

Also, Fred and Annie Noticeably absent during Mike's Interviews

I think you're getting a little picky here - If he had said that the Bulls shouldn't use a top 5 pick on him, would you be saying that North doesn't watch College Basketball, and has no idea what he's talking about ?

I think his comment was fairly obvious, by the way.

I'm a big fan of Morrison. I love his game (should lose the porn stache though). My only concern would be, is he the next Larry Bird or the next Keith Van Horn?

Keith Van Horn never dominated games like Morrison has been doing. And I dig the 'stache. After living through 16 games of Neckbeard McCracky, any thing is an improvement. Ben Rothlisberger's beard looks subtle and well maintained compared to King Kyle's.

Christ, I feel like Anusface commenting on manstaches...I like the dirt-bag porn star look for Morrison. I wish I could pull it off. Jake Plummer's porn stache was good too until he opted for the mountain man look.

and Dee Brown is one of the more explosive players in the Big 10.

Van Horn was a pretty damned dominant college player. He led his team to the final four, and was player of the year.

That's true but Dee Brown isn't a top ten pick. I'm not even sure if he is a first round pick. My point is the talent level Morrison is playing against isn't that tough. He is a good player but I think even a Van Horn comparison is a stretch right now.

Dee Brown is a very good college player, the classic shooting guard in a point guard's body.

Provided he keeps playing how he's been playing, he'll get drafted by somebody, I'm guessing towards the bottom of Round 1 - he does have a lot of speed/athleticism, which should give him at least a shot of coming off a NBA bench.

No doubt that Morrison's opponents tend to be weak.

Let me ask you though - does playing with 4 other highly recrutied players, like Reddick at Duke, make his job easier ?

Also, I'd have to think about this, but I'm sure there's a pretty good list of great college players drafted from big schools who turned out to stink (like Stacey King), and players from smaller schools (John Stockton) who turned out to have good NBA careers despite their competition.

I agree having the #1 recruiting class every year makes it easier to play. However Morrison isn't playing the same competition that Reddick plays against. Reddick plays against varsity talent Morrison plays JV talent. That’s a huge drop off. We can look at the numbers but I'm willing to bet there are very few all-stars coming from small schools. It’s not like football where you can project the talent of skilled positions.

I agree Nas, but Larry Bird didn't play against the best competition either in college. We'll have to see how it plays out in the tourney this year. As a communist, Morrison should be willing to share his windfall in the NBA with the little people here on this board too.

Morrison has a nice oh-fensive game. Nas is right. He can score against inferior talent. He's faced one great defender in his conference and Belser from San Diego shut him down. But offense alone won't get it done in the NBA. He can't defend anybody even if you give him a badge and a gun. I know Keith Van Horne. I taught Keith to play defense. Keith VanHorne is a friend of mine. Adam Morrison is no Keith Van Horne. Some NBA team will be very disappointed to use a top five pick on him. Five years from now we will remember Adam Morrison as the big bust of the next draft.

Seacrest, Bird played in a national championship game. ISU was pretty good then.

I wasn't clear. If Morrison makes it to a Final Four, I'll have a greater respect for his game, many did for Bird. Gonzaga has been better, longer than ISU ever was. They did not play a top tier of talent, just like Gonzaga doesn't on a regular basis. I believe that ISU was in the Missouri Valley at the time, but it was still a few notches below the Big Ten and the ACC.

If Morrison leads Gonzaga to the Final Four as Bird did, then I believe that he may be afforded cult status. As for now, I'm skeptical until he really shows his stuff on a bigger stage.
