Joe Sheehan is the type of person who makes me want to punch Dan Bernstein.

Yeah he could turn around Goose Gossage's 98 but wouldnt stand a chance against Scherzer's 98.

Why not just punch both to be safe?

Or Dave Winfield. He’s as athletic as any guy in baseball today.

He could probably play in the NBA and NFL today also.

He wouldn't be athletic enough and not big and strong enough.

C'mon, Nas. Just say it. Winfield wouldn't make it because he is black.

Make Dave Winfield, Billy Williams, or Bob Gibson 12 years old in 2008 with today's science and equipment, and they'd be in a 3 way race for 2019 ROY, and nobody else would be close.

And Babe Ruth would lead the major leagues in home runs with 85 and Teddy ballgame would have hit .425.

One thing for sure, the baseballs from 1977 couldn't make it to the big leagues now. I also don't recall Hank Aaron with a maple bat.

Are the players better now? In general, sure, but has Sheehan ever heard of the bell curve? What would Willie Mays be with juiced balls, maple bats, charter flights, nutrition and weight training? You think he'd "struggle"?

That dope must have played in an incredibly shitty conference.

Its an outright lie. The best female college softball player isnt better than an above average varsity male baseball player let alone thinking that 12 and 13 yr old girls are. Gtfo with that garbage.

It's just stupid. U.S. soccer has come further than any sport. My high school soccer team lost three times in two years. I'm not saying we'd be that dominant today, but we'd still be damn good.
