The only flaw is completely ignoring a given stat. Everything tells you something about a guy.

You ignore things that have become obsolete or been proven ineffective. Doctors used to bloodlet patients. Pitcher W-L used to be respected.

Just take the "L" on Quintana.

W-L, in correct context, is neither obsolete nor ineffective as much as you would like it to be.

Bloodletting still happens, though it is not nearly as common as it once was.

Well, alternative medicine also has wiccans casting healing spells so I can't say I'm surprised.

You can pretend to be intellectual about this but it would just be pretending. In your heart you know the Cubs got hosed badly.

Not at all what Im doing. Im a guy who values prospects, Id be saying all the same things. JORR is different.

Nope. I don't care about the players in return. I'm glad Quintana is on the Cubs.

How do you figure? I hated Quintana when he was on the Sox. It's not like my feelings on him changed when he went to the Cubs.

Pretty sure I have never mentioned Cease or Jimenez at all, and if I have, I certainly wasn't fawning over them.

Ok, I guess it was someone else who said Cub fans get all worked up over prospects and Sox fans never do and usually are negative about it.

Im asking you to hold your meth addicted first base beating brethren to the same standard as you hold Cub fans.

It doesn't seem to me the joy here is based on what a couple prospects might turn out to be, but rather on Cubs fans finally realizing and admitting what Sox fans already knew about Quintana.

Looks like Jorr is correct. It appears the joy is way more is Quintana leaving the Sox and arriving on the Cubs than it is over Eloy & Cease.

Props to Hank being on the right side of history (for once) from the very start of the trade.

Should i post the 40 links of people guaranteeing Eloy will be a star?

Anyway, glad we can all agree that fans of both teams go nuts over prospects.

MANY- myself included- have fawned over them.

Jorr has not.

Small sample size. I will save my opinion on Q until after the playoffs. Same for Darvish. Giolitto and Moncada still suck though.

My euphoria over the trade was in being able to call out Bob.

Plenty of sample size on Q and Darvish to have an opinion on their value. Giolitto and Moncado...not so much.

Cole Hamels had the same start with the Cubs in his first start and Cubs fans were ecstatic.
