The teachers and the students loved him. He came over from Kenwood and made progress just like the former Jones Assistant Principal. Both were let go.

Kenwood was off the chain while he was there as well or so i've been told.

I know good principals can come from a failing school but if you were a parent would you rather hear your new principal came from Jones and Kenwood or from Robeson? As an educator what do you think?

I'd probably give more credence to the person that worked in Robeson quite honestly. Jones is a product of academic engineering and the guy that came from Jones was hired for political reasons. He was inexperienced. He was new to teaching, new to administration, and new to Chicago. Should never have been hired in the first place.

Robeson didn't fail because of instruction. Robeson failed because it was a product of one of the worst neighborhoods in this country. There is no more difficult task in education than teaching children that may not seek to learn. Robeson is one such school.

Kenwood is successful because it is housed in one of the better neighborhoods in this city.

If i were looking to install discipline to a school i'd look to hire a person that has experience working in schools that had discipline problems. People that have been in the trenches are more desirous in my opinion. They are less likely to have the "deer in headlights" look. This is what i witnessed with Nahrain once the melee kicked off.
