When I was a kid and you lost a game you may throw a controller but that was about it. Now kids are shooting up tournaments and stabbing their brother in the neck.

Difference between our childhood and today's kids is that we would still go out and socialize in a non-video game environment. Spending the majority of someone's free playing video games and not developing social skills leads to an inability to release stress in a nonviolent manner.

The next generation is tougher than us. We are screwed.

Kids think playing outside is punishment now. Staying in the house was punishment 20 to 30 years ago.

Going to prison because you lost a video game is a special kind of tough. I think we are safe.

you'd think new age video game players would be calm and serene, listening to enya all day while trying to figure out the newest "myst" game.

It really is a sad commentary on the age in which we now live.

i couldn't win a million dollars playing video games back when i was a kid though. obviously that doesn't justify violence, but there is now real money involved in some of these tournaments.

Kids stopped going out because their parents didn't want them going out. Child grabbers & drive bys all over the news made the world a dangerous place.

Now adults bitch about kids not wanting to go out.
