This album, from 1977, the best of pre-Mtv ZZ Top, can be cranked from start to finish.

I don't know if this "best of" has the original mixes or not, but at some point somebody got hold of all those great sounding early songs with dry mixes and slapped a whole shitload of echo on them and ruined them.

Wow I never would have guessed that. Kind of has a Peter Gabriel vibe to it

I'd obviously heard that song before but didn't know it was The Who either. Didn't even know they were still a band in the 80s to be honest.

Now that I think about it, Athena from the same album is pretty good...and I have a soft spot for You Better You Bet from Face Dances...not much else to celebrate from post-78 Who...

I used to think it was "Livin' in the Funk."

JORR has expressed a burning hatred for "Another Tricky Day," but I don't think it's that bad. "You Better You Bet" is just a non-solo rewrite of "Let My Love Open the Door," which means it's still pretty good.

It has one of the bleedin' best lines in rock: "Your dog keeps licking my nose and chewing up all those letters that you 'You better!'"
