There just isn't time for this with Bears playoff season inbound.

Yup. It will make them look like they are on the right side of history, are sticking it to The Man, and hope it will help move lots of merchandise.

Kaepernick won't win his collusion case. he had the opportunity to play in Denver and said no.

This is what happens when you can't be bothered to read anything past the headline. The quote from Elway was referring to the 2016-2017 offseason, when the Broncos wanted to trade for Kaepernick but demanded he take a paycut. It has nothing to do with his current situation or the 2017-2018 blackballing of Kaepernick and reveals Elway as a gigantic hypocrite given the fact that he was in quite a rush to pick Osweiler back up, a player who similarly spurned the team (a lot more explicitly and dramatically than Kaepernick no less).

It happened multiple times in the NBA. Not sure why you don't think teams will put money over a very small improvement in wins. Eric Reid is a free agent for that reason too.

And ask Andre Dawson and his coplaintiffs from twenty years ago as well.

Young Nas missed this completely. Wikipedia has a long list of the MLB getting busted for collusion. Last off season may have been another case of it.

I haven’t followed any NBA examples but this is different than MLB. Dawson and then were a group of free agents colluded against by all teams. I don’t believe they will convince a jury that all NFL teams colluded against one guy.

Don't forget he opted out of his contract with the 49ers.

What rubs me the wrong way about the add is the "sacrifice everything" line. Not only is it a bit misleading in his case, but a lot of people perceive his actions as a big a F you to the flag and military, many of whom have made the ultimate sacrifice. I believe him when he says it's not, but now Nike is giving a F you to those who think that way including a lot of military and ex-military, and I don't think that's right. Stock opened down 3% fwiw.

I don’t know , I thought it was pretty cool how he’s given back all the money he’s earned and took a stand ( or kneel more appropriately ) knowing he wouldn’t get another NFL job . He’s a true Che Guevara shirt wearing hero

If great means annoying. It's the worst thing in the world and the greatest political statement of all time. It's neither. It's just another marketing ploy by a very successful business.

Unfortunately I recently bought some new Nike training shoes before this campaign, so I won't be able to contribute that purchase to #thecause but I'll find myself buying some more Nike stuff soon to show how woke I am. #justdoit
