So what's the brag part of this post? That you are having memory loss or you are feeling good without using alcohol?

:)

Nobody on the board will care about this, but on Friday, I was out in San Diego attending my stepson's graduation from Marine boot camp. So proud of him... the mental and physical challenges in place are pretty insane, but he was more than willing to take it all on. He's on a 10 day leave at home now before he goes back to Fort Pendleton to do more infantry training. I am so very proud of him.

my boy was accepted into second city's teen ensemble

The site said it is for teens with acting or improv experience, which he really has neither (took a camp in grade school years ago). He just saw the audition, thought it might be fun and tried out. He didn't expect to make it.

They asked for head shots and things like that and I'm all like wtf? He is doing this for fun, not to get a role as Excited Kid #3 in a Mcdonald's commercial.

Anyway, I'm proud of him. He has been willing to stick his neck out there in the past with some things he has done but this seems like guillotine level neck sticking to me. This will be real shows with plenty of chance for negative reinforcement and being surrounded by kids with a much different agenda. Sharks swirling my baby. Not many teens would actively seek out the chance to get wrecked with almost no other benefit than a cool entry on a college resume. Better man than me.

Could be a good thing too. If he takes it as a learning experience and just hopes to have a bit of fun here and there, it could benefit him greatly. With how many SNL alums performed at Second City, I'm positive that MANY of them suffered thru boos and heckles and had jokes totally fail.

And good stuff, newper. Semper Fi.

Your bravery in the Cubs section among the constant attacks by them must have rubbed off on him.

Also, congrats newper.

I told him we can collaborate in writing and the little shit said that I am not funny.

You think a line like "Mope Francis" just writes itself, son?

Congrats.

Mope Francis and The Sultan of Syrup are both really funny nicknames.

Bought tickets to watch Blackhawks and Blues in St Louis Oct 27th. Never been to a regular season Blackhawks game before. Went to a preseason game a few years back.

My daughters are going to be crazy excited. Not telling them yet

I don't always ignore you. Sometimes you post such garbage that I have to respond. Most of your annoying, trolling posts do get ignored though.

Walking to the bar tonight, saw two petite Asian women with a flat tire. 0% chance they could help themselves.

The One Post (solo) pit crew had the spare on in 10 minutes. That was pretty cool.

While i’m at it, last Saturday on the beach a guy had a massive cardiac event 30 yards from me. He didn’t make it, but me and some other dude gave him some professional caliber CPR for 7 mins till the first responders arrived. When they put him in the ambulance he was breathing and had a pulse after they shocked him. He survived long enough for his wife and son to say goodby at the hospital.
