I can think of a couple of TV things where Bert would have been a great addition as a frequently recurring character (like for 1/4 of the episodes). For example, Deep Space 9, instead of Whoopi Goldberg. He would have been fun interacting with the Ferengi.

One of the funniest lines I ever read was from Burt Reynolds commenting on his former TV co-star,Darrin McGavin who was known to have a big ego:
