I love how Hicks is playing in addition to Robinson. Impressive. And when Smith came in, it was like the junk yard dogs were let loose. That was great fun to watch!

2019 Mock Draft

5. Oakland Raiders (via Bears)
Ed Oliver, DT, Houston. The Raiders use one of the prized picks they received in the Khalil Mack deal to land a defender similarly gifted to that of Hall of Famer Warren Sapp. Jon Gruden can't pass on Oliver here, and he'd create a dangerous duo on the inside next to Maurice Hurst.

Vic Fangio seemed to approach this game as if Khalil Mack was more less interchangable with Aaron Lynch and the two could be used similarly in a rotation. Hopefully in the reviewing of film he notices that is not the case.

I think Mack was sucking wind at times. Conditioning still not 100%

Absolutely. Dominant in the first half. Non existent in the 2nd.

This trade is no less the right move to make, but its clear the Bears are not good enough to capitalize on it and probably never will be. At least they denied him from the enemy.

Don't flake on me now America. One early season loss doesn't change anything. This team almost went on the road in Green Bay and pulled off a HUGE upset.

Would've been one thing if they just lost a close one, but how they lost matters more than that they lost. Even if they won this game their true identity would've still lurked. They are weak and afraid of success.

Should Roquan Smith start next week? Kwiatkowski looked slow at times.

That's because he is slow. Smith should start as soon as he knows the defense.

Yes.

I understand Smith may not have been completely ready but he is a perfect defender against GB. They were eating Nick alive in pass coverage, which is Smith's strength.

I was as pissed as anyone on the way that they lost. But sometimes in sports, teams have to figure out how to win. It was obvious to me that the potential is there for this team to win more than they lose right now. This is where leadership comes to the fore. Leadership both in the coaching and leadership from within the players themselves. The question going forward to me, is what did Nagy and company learn from what happened?

He was and it is understandable. He missed virtually all of training camp. Same thing with Smith.

Smith looked really good. He's another one who got benched and I dont really know why.

Kwiatkowski is a stud against the run and blitzing. Roquan is much better all-around.

He is. We can't expect for him to play like a created player every week though.

 Yeah, no.

Did you guys pay attention to Mack's play before the trade?

Nevermind the accolades, he was surrounded by average to below-average players and played for a shitty DC. Of course he was going to terrorize under a creative DC with other talent up front.

You probably watched every week. Most of us saw enough to know he was a great player.

He may be underpaid. That sounds crazy but he's out of shape and still dominating.

I told my boss when we traded for him that he'd be the best bear since Payton.

While we build his endurance back up, I’d love to see them sit him in the first quarter or use him as needed first half.

Then drop a fresh Khalil Mack on a tired offense to unleash holy hell to the game.

Urlacher, Mike Brown, Briggs, and Tillman are the best right now. But it is to argue with how absolutely dominate this guy has been in two games where he isn't even in game shape.

Mike Brown was good in the rare instances that he was healthy, but he doesn't belong on that list.

Urlacher
Hester

Tillman/Briggs
