The answer is yes and the press should be all over Nagy today for his decision.

Would (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky had benefitted, rather than being thrown in the frying pan at Lambeau, where he showed jitters and inconsistency? Of course.

As a team, they lacked stamina and mental toughness in the 2nd half. They simply weren't ready to play four quarters, when playing in the 3rd preseason game would have helped them get in shape, mentally and physically.

That's a good point.

That's the snowflake, pussification, we might get hurt mentality infesting us today. Hey speaking of Obama, and people taking games off, if Barry Hussein campaigned as hard for Hillary as he is campaigning now(God knows for what) maybe the Dems could win a election now and then?

Rosenbloom asks the right question.

"But wait. This is where stupid meets bad. Nagy’s postgame explanation included the point that Bears starters didn’t get a lot of snaps in the preseason.

Yes, and who’s decision was that, Coach Nagy?"

The broadcasters in the Jacksonville game were over the top talking about how a physical training camp last year really helped get the Jags to the AFC title game last year & ready to play 60 minutes on week one.

Despite all the fuck-ups and 2nd half stupidity the game landed in Kyle Fuller's arms and he dropped it. That is why they lost. He dropped like 10 picks last year, his hands shouldve been the focus of his off-season, but he got paid and no longer cares. A preseason game would not fix that.

This is bullcrap. Kyle deserves some flak -but so many things had to go wrong in the 1st place to put him in the position of that potential INT meaning so much.

There were a lot of other culprits in that loss including:

Nagy -- GOing for gadget plays when you had Howard powering over tacklers.

Simms -- Dropped a number of perfect passes and failed to get to the first down line.

Fangio -- Failure to go after a wounded Rodgers in the 2nd half but instead played "safe". and failed at that.

Nagy -- Failure to get Cohen the ball enough in the passing game.

Defensive secondary -- failure to cover and fail to tackle. Terrible game except for the nickel back.

Hands don't really "get better". That is the reason they are switched to defensive back.

Sims has sucked as a pass catcher for the entirety of his career. Stop having him in for plays where his blocking is not necessary when you have a superior pass catcher in Braunecker who has developed more of his game every year he has been with the team

The team gassed out in the 3rd quarter, the offense scored 16 points against one of the worst Defenses in the league. They clearly needed more reps and conditioning.

Don't they have something like 7 TEs on this team? IF they do, why did they put the worst hands tight end in the game and throw it to him? That was dumb coaching.

One half of the 3rd preseason game isn't going to magically boost the teams stamina. Look around the league this weekend, Bears weren't the only team to play worse in the 2nd half
And you can't say Mitch look rattled in the 2nd half because of the preseason and ignore how solid he looked in the 1st half.

Bad all around.

Jordan Howard's hands got a lot better.
