The thing the libs don't get (and if it weren't obvious enough, this isn't about tennis to Americans, this is about the culture war and the resistance Here In Donald Trump's America) is that a lot of what players "get away with" is just sound and fury. They don't understand the enormity of calling the umpire a thief and a liar because all shitlibs can understand as far as transgressions go are the designated Bad Words. You can jump up and down screaming about a horseshit call and most officials don't really seem to care. Serena did a lot of that herself and the umpire let it go. But coming right out and alleging that the umpire is throwing the match is a bigger deal because the belief that the contest is legitimate is what undergirds the whole event. If the player believes the game is rigged, then where do you go from there? Why even continue the match at all that point? You've already surrendered.

Well, the umpire did have the power to deduct the point/game. But even then, it was zero-sum...he was penalizing one woman and favoring another, so how can it be sexist? If her claim was racism, I wouldn't have agreed but at least it would have been more plausible.
