He ends the defense of Roseanne and Louis CK with what can only be a line intended to remind everyone that Chris Hardwick also had allegations against him and yet is still on TV: ""I'm happy the #MeToo movement has slowed down a little bit ... that Chris Hardwick guy, I really thought got the blunt end of the stick there," says Macdonald.

No fucking way that Norm or any other traditional stand-up has any sympathy for Hardwick. I read that line as Norm painting a bullseye on Hardwick: asking the MeToo movement why Hardwick's back on TV when the other malfeasants are still out in the wilderness.

That's about 20 extra fucks that Norm just don't give.

Norm is not really that conservative, he's just not very far left like the vast majority of Hollywood. Norm himself said in 08' on the Howard Stern Show that if he were allowed to vote he would vote for Obama over McCain. Norm is the funniest human being on the planet and no amount of twitter outrage will change that.

Norm has carved out a fanbase where he does not need to grovel before the Twitter mob. They can push him out of their world but he doesn't need their world to survive. He does the YouTube thing, I dont watch it but many do.

His new talk show is on Netflix though.

There is so much social currency and adulation in being a victim that I assure you a majority, probably a vast majority, of these accusations are either totally made up or blown way out of proportion as opposed to what actually happened.
