Wow quite the story ( about 30 minutes to tell it because “ great” interviewer Howard cant stfu and let the guest talk) on how Fallon came to him and had to tell him he shouldn’t be on . Women who worked on the show were crying at the prospect of Norm being on. Jfc.

This was a pretty dumb and unfunny thing to say.

I forget , who were the victims in what Roseanne said ? To paraphrase what he told Stern regarding that comment, he knows Roseanne, he knows Ck. He spoke with both of them , and later put them in touch with each other ( to ostensibly commiserate ) because they are both in the very unique situation of having their entire careers lost essentially overnight and not many people know what that feels like . The horror .

Not really.

It was a good line. Makes you cringe a bit.

Solid comedy.

Move this to DBOTW.

Roseanne and Louis have both been very good friends of mine for many years. They both made terrible mistakes and I would never defend their actions. If my words sounded like I was minimizing the pain that their victims feel to this day, I am deeply sorry.

Yep.

You can't apologize. That just emboldens the mob.

Yeah but apologizing afterward for thinking of his friends and admitting his insensitivity to the victims should be the end of the world should it?

Using Julie’s logic , Norm should only be allowed to be a bench player on a professional sports team now .

I like the guy because he is his own man and speaks what he believes. He also is a funny person and tells stories well.

If I understand your post, I don't think anything should happen to Norm Macdonald and cancelling his appearance was dumb.

I read it in Norm's voice and delivery.

Sounds like a Norm joke.

Norm Macdonald said his comments had been misconstrued: "I am completely behind the #MeToo movement. You'd have to have Down Syndrome to not feel sorry for— #MeToo is what you want for your daughters and you want that to be the future world, of course"

Letterman absconded to Montana at the right time, else he'd have been MeToo'd off the air.

Fallon has to appease the SJW demo to make up for stroking Trump's hair.

Hope/expect to see Norm on Colbert soon. Colbert has enough juice with the MeToo demo to get away with it. Colbert even monologued against his boss before it was certain Moonves would lose his job as head of Colbert's network. Pretty good statement from Colbert, gives Moonves props for giving him the shot at hosting and sticking with Colbert through low early ratings, before he trashes Moonves and says he must go:

The last time Norm was on Stern he said that being a guest on the Tonight Show with Fallon hosting was like being with a child. Obviously true but if Fallon has any testicular fortitude at all he was grateful for the chance to fuck him. We can only pray that the opportunity to see Norm interview Judge Judy for an hour will finally come to fruition.

It's dumb. He's stupid. And sexist. Probably racist.
