In 20 years the bears have used 5 top 10 picks on offensive skill players. You have to actually try to be this bad at blowing high picks, right?

Mitchy T 2nd TBD
Kevin White 7th pick - 4 years 193 yards 0 TD's
Cedric Benson 4th pick - 3 years 1600 yards 10 TD's
David Terrell - 8th pick - 4 years 1600 yards 9 TD's
Curtis Enis - 5th pick - 3 years 1497 yards 4TD's

I rank them
Kevin White
Curtis Enis
David Terrell
Cedric Benson
Mitchy T.

i know he wasn't a top-10 pick, but this thread made me remember Rashaan Salaam back in the day, whose career quickly flamed out after a promising start. I googled him and came across this story. I hadn't heard much about what happened to him after he left the NFL, but what a heartbreaking story of what turned out to be a very insecure kid. Its an old story, but a good read.

Sad to hear. I didn't know that. A young Turd's first jersey was of Salaam.

I just Can't have Cade that high, not because he didn't suck. But the number 12 pick can flop as a QB easily. He was the 5th one taken, much lower bar for him. He was probably the 3rd biggest QB bust in the draft. Tim Couch and Akili Smith went 1st, and 3rd.

That's solid logic....but take away the QB position....a #12 pick better be pretty fucking great. He was straight up Ryan Leaf bad.

Benson was not a bust. The Bears fucked him up. But he still had 10 Touchdowns as a Rookie and heavily contributed to a Conference winning season.

I'd like to make the case "Kevin White bad" is how future WR's will be judged. He is in his 4th year at the number 7 pick, hasn't scored a touchdown or passed 200 yards in his career.

I can't really call Colombo a bust. Sure he was ouchy and bad here, but the dude ended up having a pretty nice NFL career. He was way better than just about everybody listed in this thread.

Not sure about Thierry either. Not great for where he was picked but he was in the league 9 seasons played in 131 games (started 70) recording 33.5 sacks and 158 tackles with 7 fumble recoveries.

Yeah, Theirry was decent once he got out of the 4-3 D. Very bad lists here.
