I haven’t seen it with Contreras but the standing and watching the homer that isn’t a homer happens frequently enough that I guess the only part that stuns me about it is guys still do it.

With a runner on he hit a shot that appeared to be headed for the seats. He stood and admired it for awhile. It hit off wall and he almost got thrown out at 2nd

Riggleman smart today keeping the starter in.

Lucky we got the first 2 games.

Bummer to end with the one loss, but it was just the one loss. Better than two or three.

Milwaukee will do what they do best when they have a chance to be something like they always do .... choke it away.

Brewers lose. wow. almost came back in the 9th w/ back to back hr's.

2.5 up still. would have been really nice to pul it out and go up 3.5

cubs bats are done. can't do this vs the dbacks in the next 3 or they'll get swept.

how many of these batting slumps have these guys had this year? 4? Chili davis must suck.

Last I checked, Chili Davis hasn’t had an MLB at bat since 1999.

Brewers lost....so whatever. I like that Joe ripped Willy a new asshole after the game for standing there and pimping a double. He never does that so hopefully the message gets sent and the NL Starting All Star Catcher starts fucking playing like an all star again.

Finally saw the willie play. So it really didn't cost them the game since Addy had to hold up at 2nd anyway and only advanced one base. But ya he should be running hard and not hod dogging it.

The next 3 will be harder than the reds. Dbacks fighting for their lives. If you can barely score 1 run there you will not win.

Reds to go the Brewers for 3. Maybe this new found reds starting pitching that gave us so much trouble gives the brewers trouble and losses.

except that the Cubs always score in AZ. They'll win 2 out of 3 easy.

are cubbie fans really sweating a three game lead with thirteen to play as much as it sounds like on the radio?

They are virtually assured of making the playoffs

Nah.. We firmly believe the Cubs will win the division.. The problem is the bats are ice cold and the pen is over worked.. I wouldn't be surprised to see em lose first round.

  They scored 5 runs in 3 games against Reds pitching. Now they have to go against Corbin and Ray.

Sure, but this team has never really been the juggernaut it is popularly portrayed to be. Pretty much every playoff series over the past 3+ years has been open for a loss.

We had to face Foltkewicz and Nola on the last road trip. Won both. And many other examples of beating good pitchers the last few years.
They win when it counts.
