I'm sitting here playing Clash Royale while waiting for someone to call me back, and my power goes out. Fortunately it was a 2v2, but what the fuck is wrong with ComEd? It's not really hit, it's not stormy, it's a Sunday so there isn't much office and factory usage.

I called and the automated system told me that they knew of the outage and 1300 homes are affected.

This is the second time the power has gone out in a month, the be other was for about twenty minutes in the middle of the night about three weeks ago and I noticed because I happened to wake up to take a piss as I am an old man.

Get your maintenance together, asshats.

Probably three times a week I get a robocall from ComEd congratulating me on being a valued customer and that I am eligible for a discount on my bill.

First, I'm not a customer and never have been. Secondly, I'm not even near an area where I could be a customer.

Not sure what that is all about.

I get people asking about my Amren bill. When I tell them I don’t have Amren it switches to ComEd. When I tell them I don’t have that either they get confused. Usually I just hang up.

Yeah - when it is a live person and they start that pitch I tell them we are completely solar powered and self sufficient. Crickets, crickets... and then a click - they hang up,

You should tell them you have an excess supply of solar power that you would like to sell back to their grid. How about eight cents a kilowatthour?

My wife, god bless her, has tried to get me to agree to doing that (off the grid power wise) but the economics just aren’t there even with coop power prices in the sticks.
