It baffles me how a team with accomplished hitters like Rizzo, Bryant , Murphy, Zobrist and ( this year ) Baez can go into a long run scoring slump like they have yet here we are. Maybe Heyward is the lynchpin in this whole thing . Need 2 of 3 here .

All games on WSCR-AM 670.

Monday: 8:40 p.m., WGN-9.

RH Kyle Hendricks (11-11, 3.71) vs. LH Patrick Corbin (11-5, 3.05).

Tuesday: 8:40 p.m., WGN-9.,

LH Mike Montgomery (4-5, 3.87) vs. TBA.

Wednesday: 8:40 p.m., NBCSCH.

LH Cole Hamels (9-9, 3.67) vs. LH Robbie Ray (5-2, 4.14).
