The magic number is 0.

The Cubs clinched when Milwaukee failed to sweep the 2-game series at Wrigley 2 weeks ago.

I dont get the panic. It's not even close.

it's ironic that a week ago people were talking about clinching the division @ the White Sox.

Now it looks like the White Sox will have a great chance of eliminating them.

Really good. The Cubs have 11 games left and let's say they go 6-5 in those games. The Brewers would need to go 9-1 in their remaining 10 games to equal the 95 wins the Cubs would have.

What happens if they tie?

What's the magic number of days until Elmhurst Steve dies in a fire or ill-fated horseback riding expedition?

I would consider it. However, if the Cubs go 5-6, what would the Brewers need to go in their remaining 10 games? This would help me figure out if I should make the bet or not.

They would need to go 8-2

Ok, one last question and then you get my answer. If the Cubs go 4-7, what would the Brewers need in their remaining 10 games?

Obviously 7-3 and now like Coztanza, you can cover off and avoid answering altogether. If it helps you, the Brewers are 6-4 in their last 10 games.

I simply asked you what happens if they tie, which a big baseball fan like yourself would obviously know. However, you didn't answer. So, here is the deal I will offer you.

I will answer your question when you answer mine. What happens if they tie?

Now you're asking others to bet after being gutless with me just a few hours ago?

You talk out your ass about Palka hitting more homers than the entire Cubs team in the coming series and I offer to bet $500.00 on it, or even bet that Palka doesn't hit more than 1 homer in the series and you just come up with some stupid terms involving installation of wallcovering. Either make an actual bet, or crawl away, the gutless wonder we all know you to be.
