This album takes some heat, but I've always been a fan. It reminds me of a story that I read about Dee Dee Ramone from an interview years back. He was talking about how rigorous of a producer Phil Spector was. The Ramones were used to tracking a song in a handful of takes, but this song they probably went over 100 takes in a single night, and Dee Dee was starting to get fed up and wanted to call it a day around like 3:00 AM. Phil Spector pulls a gun on him and tells him to get his ass back in the studio.
