A shoehorn to finally pry his nose out of Reinsdorf's ass!

ya. loved how he went after Bote not knowing how to lay down a bunt last night. And how he went after the Sox Defense for screwing up routine plays. We won't be seeing that anymore.

Yep.

Hawk is one of the last of the memorable character announcers. Ueker is the last now. Baseball is worse for the demise of them.

For sure. Hawk is one of the last old dogs with equal parts personality/passion.

MANY pound on him in the same manner Santo used to get smacked around. Until he was gone... then Ronny was missed.

I miss Santo and I will miss Hawk.

Salute. :salut:

Hawk is going to be missed. My parting gift to him would be a custom set of golf clubs with a big Hawk logo on them.

Love Hawk. He is going to be missed. The days of broadcasters like him are coming to an end and there will never be a time quite like it.

If the Cubs did not need this game so bad I would be pulling for a Sox win in his final game.

Thanks for all the memories Hawk.

I moved to Chicago in 95. Hawk and Wimpy were awesome. You can't last forever. Definitely will miss his approach to calling a game.

End of game, all Sox waving goodbye to hawk outside the dugout. He's crying right now on air.

The correct answer is a life size statue of Yaz.

He should have been Boston or Oakland's problem all these years but Reinsdorf was obsessed with hiring ex-players to do play-by-play.

Going to miss him. Big part of my childhood and teenage years as a Sox fan.

He was ok with Drysdale. Without him, he got too quirky.

This is a bad thought CH. Hawk was unique and great most of his broadcasting career

Hawk was exactly what you wanted as a TV broadcaster for the majority of his career. A guy who is relatable to fans and could tell some old stories. He had character. And was a character. He struggled the last few years but that doesn't diminish his greatness for most of his run.
