Here's my honest Schmittyesque hot take:

Bryant's injury is an over training injury that will prevent him from ever putting up the power numbers he did earlier in his career. It won't get better. Ever.

I am being serious.

I’m guessing he needs surgery and is playing through whatever the fuck is hurting him . He was out what 6 weeks to rest it and he already needs more rest ? Something is wrong .

REmember last year he went out w/ the pinky injury but was never placed on the DL until later. I think that screwed up his swing and it carried over to this year.

I don't understand why teams do this. Why put another lefty in the game right now vs the Cubs lineup. It has been set up to face a lefty. Wouldn't going with a right hander be the better move?

When Hendricks is going well he’s fun to watch pitch.

When he is laser focused, he is definitely one of the best around.

No one really . Bote got his ass chapped getting drilled in the ribs from Rodon. Didn’t look intentional.

When he came back from the DL, Joe said they would need to give him some extra days off to keep the shoulder from getting aggravated.

I expect surgery the week after their season ends, and that he may not be back in time for Game 1 next year.

I envision a scenario where he moves to CF/LF, Happ gets traded, and Almora and Schwarber platoon.
