Mack was obviously one of the premier players in the league with Oakland but he was never this good. He has found another gear. I dont know if this just him in his absolute prime or if he feels like the contract has given him a path to be one of the GOATs or if playing amongst Trevathan, Hicks, Goldman etc. has unlocked him...probably a combination of a lot of factors...but he's beating triple teams with shocking regularity.

It is hard for a team to give up two firsts (though the reality is the Bears gave up a little less than that) and $90m guaranteed and have the player shatter expectations, but that's what Mack has done. The MVP race right now is 1. Mahomes 2. Brees 3. Mack.

Careful with calling players easily better than first ball HOFers. You're getting a little ahead of your skis here.

There's nothing to come around on. I said before the trade Mack was worth paying and one of the most dominant players in the league. Nothing had changed about that. But Urlacher was one of the most dominant players in the league for over a decade and one of the very best LBs of all time.

A better question than whether Mack is as good as a first ballot HOFer is to wonder what Mack would have returned in a trade with this kind of start. My guess is quite a bit more than the Bears gave up.

Pace saved his job with this deal. But none of us should be really be complaining because the Bears are winning and will probably continue to win as long as Mack is playing.

One guy is dropping into coverage ..the other is forcing fumbles and attacking the QB.. Don't be a retard.

Brian Urlacher was definitely pretty good at getting after the QB. Obviously not as good as Mack, but Urlacher played a different position and did a lot of other things very well. Mack had one bad play today and it was when he dropped into coverage.

One guy dominates the entire field. One guy dominates one side of a line. The first guy played here for almost 15 years and is one of the best defensive players on modern history.

Oh BULLSHIT. Urlacher could do more things than Lewis ever could. No linebacker was ever better in coverage than Brian. He was a better athlete than Lewis by far.
