I agree. You can't ask a LB to cover the length of a long route of a receiver. He's got to release the receiver to the safety over the top.

Trevathan is usually spectacular in coverage vs tight ends, and Seals-Jones was presumably his man on that play where he had an entire side of the field to himself, so I don’t know what to make of it. Maybe it was Roquan’s assignment on that particular play. If there’s someone close to him, maybe Bradford hesitates for a split second, gets pummeled, fumbles the ball, and then Mack returns it for a touchdown. Because that is what I expect on every play.
