Miller and Amukamara could've played today but the Bears want them getting 2 weeks off.

Miller has been more open than anyone else so far this year. If this is new-Mitch he is going to explode.

Did Cohen take over the role of featured back today? Howard is great but he may not be shifty enough and too slow for this offense. I liked seeing Cohen used more.

I thought so too. I thought in the 2nd half they would just feed Howard but that didn't really happen.

If Howard isn't going to do that, he's too good for what they want. Trade him if they can.

Keep Howard, there will be some games where the weather is shit and they will need a mudder like Howard.

Will a 3rd round pick suffice? I would love Howard on GB if Nagy is too smart to use one of the best runners in the league.

And that's the guy the last regime effectively called too stupid for the playbook to have on the field at times.

I'm sure Nagy would use him if he could. There's just too much talent and only one ball.

Packers have it easy with just one good player to give the ball to. Narrows the decision tree.

Just like how the Bears offensive "minds" of the 00's wasted Hester. Imagine Nagy with a guy like Hester.

Hurts me to think about.

Nagy will use him because he is a great RB but it's not easy making their offense fit his style when he needs to get lathered up to have a big run. This is an explosive play offense.

Agreed. A trade makes sense. Maybe a 5th and a conditional 6th if things go right gets Howard? Not much leverage since the bears showed they don't need him.

He will be used extensively when the gameplan calls for it. Its a win-win. Howard keeps some tread on his tires for when its time to get paid and Howard is fresh for the Bears after low-usage weeks like this one. His stats wont be gaudy but they will be able to maximize the impact when they need him.

Trading him in the off-season is a distinct possiblity if they can get themselves into the top 50 again.

I dont need the big run. The guy moves chains like few others. He's not needed in a 40 point blowout but y'all are crazy if you think he's not needed on a winning team.

Look what he did with Tyreek Hill. Developed him into a stud.

Of course he's needed/useful. He just isn't the best fit. IF you can get a 1 or 2 for him in the off season you may have to consider it.

If he's not the best fit the scheme is wrong. He's too talented for that excuse.

I think you're going overboard over one game where he wasn't needed.

The scheme is fine and he'll be more than helpful. He isn't great enough to change an entire offense. Plus Pace has proven that he can draft running backs.

I said the same thing in the off season. I just found it odd that Nagy featured Cohen today.

Taylor Gabriel is fine and helpful. You're crazy and don't know what you have if you think Howard is easily expendable.

An interesting aside that will probably go unnoticed is a consistent referencing by players to the "situation that happened" and why the team didn't seem to lose any intensity even when the subs were in. That's the word they use "the situation"...so it's obvious that Week 1 is something they are not being allowed to forget.

Nagy still has a long way to go with me, much longer than Mitch. But I'm glad he's making them face that defeat and that they are still humiliated by it.

Mitch thrives in a simplified offense and Burton,Robinson and Cohen score TD's.
