Hard to establish yourself when they dont give you a chance.

Visited some of wife’s family in Arizona 5 or 6 years ago and saw a spring training game. Lake was a large human being. For some reason he was only player my daughter remembers from that day (I think he hit an absolute bomb that day) and within the last year or so asked me what happened to him.

The Mexican league happened to him.

I feel like he was given a chance. But when other players in the system showed more promise, he was just a guy they decided to move on from.
