If you lose today and tomorrow you really have to consider firing Maddon if only for demonstrating a head on a pike.

Travel. The Losers have to play a WC game tomorrow, so they want to make sure they have time to travel to Chi/Mil.

MLB could move everything back one day. Tuesday is a travel day. NL WC game Wednesday, AL WC Thursday. NLDSs start Friday + ALDSs Saturday.

I wonder if ESPNs Monday night football has anything to do with it.

I should not feel bad they lost. I’ve finally seen the truth with this team. They’re just not good.

Amazing they were in first for so long with this group.

No way they win tomorrow. Both rocks and dodgers playing good baseball down the stretch.

You can win scoring 1 run a game.

The playoffs already take long enough. There is no reason to be playing baseball in November.

I don't think NFL has anything to do with it. IIRC, the Cubs had a home playoff game the same day as Mitch made his first start on a Monday nite against the Vikings last year.

The last time a game 163 was played in Chicago, this was certainly the case.

95 wins and they'll never have home field once. What a magnificent failure Theo and Maddon led the Cubs to.

Theo's inability to draft MLB arms is showing.

Game(s) #163 must be on at night. Not everyone can watch during the day. The Cubs should’ve started play at 7pm central and the Dodgers-Rockies should be played 3 hours later at 7pm pacific. Either start the regular season a day before so you can have Game 7 of the World Series on 10/31 or move the playoffs (NL + AL wild card games) back a day. If MLB doesn’t want to do either then use the fucking 20 division games (head to head record) to determine the tie breaker.

The Brewer fans were loud from the first inning.

On the radio it was difficult to gauge if an outcome was good or bad for the Cubs because the Brewer fans packed the place.

Embarrassing that Brewer fans packed the place.

ESPN paid too much for the rights to Monday Night Football to put playoff baseball up against it.

Saw lots empty seats on tv. Good for brewers fans to fill the yard up.

Let’s dream and say the cubs win tomorrow and beat the brewers in the NLDS.

Even with 95 wins they don’t get Home filed bs the division winner?

Quintana's start was another example of how managers have deluded themselves out of the reality that relief pitchers are relief pitchers because they're not good enough to start.

It would have been interesting hypocritically if the Cubs had this team talent 25 years ago. Starting pitchers went longer. Managers made consensus moves for the most part. Managers slept most of the game. You'd never see bum relievers replacing a flourishing starter after 5 Innings. Managers were irate after a loss, not recommending Netflix movies.

Justin Wilson enters a 1-1 game.

8 pitches later he walks off the mound with men on 2nd and 3rd and nobody out.

Brutal.
