I realize there is a certain % of trolling in all these posts, but if watching sports makes you so miserable, find a new hobby. The Cubs have made the playoffs 4 straight years, and despite all the bitching, are still alive this season.

I think they win tomorrow but the blow a weak load in the 1st round and out in 4 games. They have a great team, but have been cold this fall. It is what it is. They will bounce back next year.

Technically still alive but I think they are completely out of gas. I have no idea how they have so many wins or are even in the playoffs at all. Its crazy that you take away a few things from the 2016 team and the lineup becomes a mish-mosh of inconsistency. They can say all they want about the leadoff hitter not mattering......it fucking matters. Having an emotionally stable catcher whose greatest attribute is his mind also helps out quite a bit. Contreras is a fool with tools at this point in his career.

If tomorrow is it then at least go into the offseason with a plan to actually develop a plan for next years team. The game is not played on a computer so get a plan that works on the field. I want to see a stable lineup that flows. Get rid of Schwarber and get a damn leadoff hitter.

It wasn't a shit team. They won 95 regular season games, despite a whole lot of adversary they needed to overcome. They do need to make changes and yes, some players (Schwarber, Russell, Haap and Murphy maybe) will not return, while I am hoping the team can get themselves a legitimate leadoff hitter. One who can steal bases really well, to get a guy like Bryant in the #2 slot, more fastballs to hit would be great. but I am still hoping the can beat a really good Colorado team, so we can see more Cubs/ Brewers games. It's a great rivalry despite what Cole Hamels may believe.
