True story, much different than long out of the closet, flamboyant burrito Joe Orr. Great story.

You're confusing him with Mitch McConnell.

Do you think he switched from shortstop to centerfield because he has a great big cock?

That was the George Brett year also. I have 2 of those too.

They are worth more than canned peas. Most likely.

Got one a decade+ ago. The wife just had it refurbished.

Edit: she bought it.

You’ll never buy another vacuum cleaner, my friend.

Because you probably won’t be able to afford one.

Circa-1990, the complete set was around $1,800 IIRC. But, you will never buy another cleaner.

No, probably because he had 44 errors at SS one year.

Just talked with the wife. Evidently I flew the extreme parsimonious flag and talked the guy way down. She's being nice and says it closed at $1200. I thought it was nuts, but I wasn't directly paying for it (her account)

But the thing is still impressive.

You'd have paid $1,600 if it were me.

So, if Yount were a closet homosexual, I think he could still pull that off and have room for the Kirby SlimLine Model 3200 in there while giving Dr. Ken an opportunity to sell those cards to a far larger market.

Kirby Vacuums and CutCo Knives.
Both are apparently excellent products with more negative name recognition from
shitty sales legends than actual positive durability and utility.

My wife has that British guy's vacuum cleaner. I guess she enjoyed the way he said sucking power with an accent.

My Wife's Grandfather had a retirement business doing appliance repair, he provided her a repaired Kirby back when she was in college(mid-80's). We used that beast until about ten years ago; she had a student in class whose parents owned the local Kirby store. They offered a recently repossessed (!) unit, self-propelled, including the shampooer options. We got it for several hundred, and plan to never buy another. Moved the old one upstairs so no more carrying.

Yount was the first five-tool player I remember watching live.
