Don't people send in ticket requests to attend studio tapings of these shows, like months in advance?
Am I supposed to believe that vacationing fly-over state Everyman is totally on board with the endless Anti-Trump-Pro-SJW bias from most of these shows? I kinda get why Colbert and Corden (to a much lesser extent) get almost unanimous audience approval for
the monologues, because every 'comedy' on CBS has canned laughter for every punchline.
But Fallon and Meyers? This is NBC. How many of us lifetime SNL viewers have seen sketches absolutely bomb?
*Crickets chirping* bombs? And yet, every joke that Seth Meyers has someone write for him is met with rapturous applause on a nightly basis. Even moreso with Colbert.
Fallon doesn't try as hard, Conan isn't as obsessed with the SJW demo, and I don't really bother with watching Kimmel unless he has a decent band on at the end.
All of these people got to where they are by being (allegedly) funny people on a number of different subjects.
I mean, they all had jobs in 2014, right? What did they ever joke about before Trump?

I'm well aware of Jenny Slagel and Amber Ruffin. First of all, I don't think Ruffin is a bitch, I wouldn't know, but I don't care for her gimmick. I don't think she's funny, and she probably writes her own jokes. Anyone who's seen LN with Seth Meyers should immediately know what I'm talking about. As far as Slagell, I think the only reason we know she's a lesbian is because it's literally the first thing she says during the far-too-often "Jokes Seth can't tell" bits. Meyers has a tendency to demonstrate why he was always a better writer than a performer, although he can do a decent interview depending on the guest. I agree with you on the nightly SJW rally comment, but I gotta believe that Colbert is probably the only host I mentioned other than Conan who is probably a genuinely thoughtful and funny person without having writers come up with all their material. It gets tiresome, because like I said, all of them had other things to talk about before November 2016. I just don't know why that side of the media bias seems to be overlooked, but I guess it's not really the biggest crisis we're dealing with. That said, I've been watching a lot of lae night ESPN lately, and checking the DVR in the morning to see if there was a good syand up or band on the network late night shows.

Samantha Bee could've been the female Sacha Baron Borat if she hadn't been infected with the SJW virus.

Her early Daily Show segments had an apolitical monty-python-lite absurdity to them. Her new show retains smidges of the absurd humor but it's overshadowed by her junior Michael Moore/Rachel Maddow moralizing. Liked all of the various Daily Show peeps better when they were working within the constraints of that show. Oliver, Bee, Colbert, et al became insufferable preachers once they ascended to their current shows (despite mostly agreeing with what they're preaching).

Letterman, Carson, Conan, Kilborn, even Ferguson (for the most part) managed to do their jobs without injecting partisan politics into every bit. Letterman, iirc, would get political every now and then toward the end.

I loved Samantha Bee on the Daily Show. I always thought she was one of their best correspondents. But man, her show on TBS is just complete shit. Like real bad, bad.
