Oh IMU tries to dox me all the time also. He can have my email and IP address I dont give a shit, there's a reason he keeps wanting me to tell him who my employer is or where I live. The guy is hardly Sherlock Holmes. If it really bothers you use a VPN.

In order to identify and doxx someone from their public IP, I think IMU would need access to tools he doesn't have. He might be able to get the general area a user is in, and then use that to deduce other identifying information about a poster. Regardless, it isn't like he has anyone's address because he can see their connecting IP.

That said, isn't it rather odd that the Wisemen give access to IP information to a guy with a documented history of doxxing other board members? (No, that isnt the same as posting an image taken from someone's public, promoted, professional website)

Wow, not sure if this board would exist in its current iteration without Brick/IMU. Short memories from SOME regarding the bigfan/Wisemen fiasco. Brick and IMU did a lot of behind the scenes IT without tooting their own horns (well Brick doesn’t at least)

Yep! We've gotten emails or messages from them pretty much every time there has been an issue. Regardless of if it was big or small.

I appreciate Brick's efforts. I have no idea what IMU does. Well I do, but that is best not shared with all.

Having said that, the board WOULD exist without them. That's just the plain truth of it.

BRICK provided the domain name. BLUEHOST provided a clean copy of the database.

For the record I appreciate EVERYTHING BRick and IMU have done from the beginning to make sure the board is functioning properly. I don't doubt that eventually the Wisemen could have figured something out and prayed that the community was still around after we did it. Fortunately we didn't have to because of the hardwork and generosity of both.

Having said that, he used a number of IT people that were created a number of different databases that were never synchronized for lack of a better word.

It took like 7 different IT people at Bluehost before we finally located someone to make a copy of the entire database so that it could be transferred to a different domain. And that literally happened on the same day that bigfan shut down the old site. Without Brick having a domain to transfer that database to, it would have been much harder for people to stay together.

The header at the top. There were bugs that BRick wasn't available to take care of and IMU did. There are MANY ways both have helped beyond "BRick gave us a domain name".
