A man named David Moore just owned Marcus Peters again and the Rams suddenly look very beatable.

RedZone should have had "Every Place Kick from Every Game" today.

Would have been more interesting.

I was thinking they had the best D in the league and Bears were 2... Were #1

There is no comparison between the two. The Bears are really a cut above the rest of the league.

Can be useful when you don't throw to that guy, but not that useful when you do.

Neither QB looks good but Watson looks distinctly better than Dak. At least Watson is getting some confidence in that knee back.

There are a lot of bad coaches in the league, but Bill O'Brien is making a solid case for the worst tonight (against another prime contender in Garrett no less). Another Belichick tree coach with his head up his ass.

Are you saying we need a CFMB RANKING OF THE COACHES? Garrett is not a bad coach but he has this terrible QB and even worse receiver group and its kind of impossible. He should go somewhere else for his own good.

O'Brien is there with Vance Joseph, Hue Jackson and Dirk Koetter as the worst. Take your pick of that lot.

He's not but he was put on a pedestal and hasn't been at that level.

The offensive line on that 14-2 team made a lot of people look much better than they actually are. If the Cowboys fire Garrett he will find a home somewhere, I dont think I'll be able to say that about anyone else let go this year.

Clowney and Watt are rampant beasts but the Cowboys offensive line is imploding in a way I havent seen in a very long time.

I'd probably have a hard time doing a complete ranking of coaches aside from the clear top and bottom tiers. Everyone in the middle just be a matter of who screwed up most recently or egregiously.

The other issue with ranking coaches for me is that it's way too tempting to judge them exclusively on what they clearly get wrong when it comes to in-game management without appreciating anything else they bring to the table. There are so many guys who are clearly risk averse cowards when it comes to in-game decisions and morons about time management but who still get their guys willing to run through a brick wall for them and/or are brilliant when drawing up schemes and game plans.

For instance I've ripped McCarthy for years and think he's a grade A moron who's in the process of doing his best to ensure that a top 5 quarterback of all time finishes with a single Super Bowl. But I probably underrate some of the positives he brings to the table in terms of an initial offensive game plan and the work he's done developing players as well. Likewise you can have guys who do have a predilection for riskier or smarter in-game decisions but are total morons in terms of player management and end up losing the locker room; Trestman being so much worse than Lovie would be an example of this.

McCarthy's scheme and gameplan is terrible. I would say its about as bad as O'Brien.

I agree though, its almost impossible to rank them beyond

1. Belichick
2-27 a bunch of guys
27-32 guys about to get fired

I think my top tier would be Belichick, McVey, and Pederson. Maybe Reid too, but he's maybe the best example of someone whose good qualities from Monday-Saturday get dragged down by his coaching on Sunday.
