of course.

Everything Chicago does they borrow from other cities, especially from the East Coast. There's nothing original about this city.

Everything they do, its an idea borrowed from somewhere else to boost tourism.

They've been doing variations of this for forty years here.

bull.

variations. not the real thing. This is an idea borrowed from elsewhere to boost tourism. The same way the Riverwalk was borrowed from San Antonio and other places. So fake.

I go every year. A couple years ago I hit all of the south side sites. Last year I did Oak Park on Saturday and the Evanston/Wilmette sites on Sunday.

Tied up early today (though the Skokie sewage plant is open for tours until 4 PM so I might do that, not sure if that's part of Open House Chicago or not). Not sure where I'll go tomorrow. I really want to see the original Sears Tower now that the rehab is complete.

The MWRDGC filtration plant on Howard is on the program this year for the first time. I'll pass. I feel as though I've been in there already every warm breezy night on my way home.

I have connections in The District, I can probably get you in there any time.

My wife was an engineer with MWRD at that plant very early in her career and assigned to monitor levels of something in sewage. She also said there was a guy whose job it was to essentially scuba dive in the stuff for some reason. Shitty work but well paid.
