Seriously. An NFL defense shouldn't be gassed in the first half of a game in Week 6, much less a Week 6 game coming off a bye. Yeah there was a lot of holding that wasn't called, but a lot of the big plays given up this week were born from a lame pass rush by gassed linemen and bad pursuit by tired defensive backs.

The book will get out now that a mild hurry-up offense will get your QB more time in the pocket, more separation for wideouts and easier blocking on runs. Time to run some gassers.

I think that book has been out since week 1. Every time a team goes to a hurry up, the Bears struggle.

Only a couple Bears looked gassed early in this game (Mack being one)

Everyone on both teams looked gassed at the end of the 4th. I think they’ll be fine.

Yep. And he did it by attacking him with the run adding to him getting gassed faster. This is another reason why I think Vic has to get better at dialing things up. Everyone is gonna see this tape and go straight at him now with runs. It’s a smart old school way to tire pass rushers out tbh. Especially with the trend of pass rushers getting smaller and faster -put some 300 pound hogs on them early and often by running it at them instead of allowing them to come forward and attack on constant pass plays.

Will be interesting to see if the Pats do the same.

Move him around to keep the offense on their toes.

He does.. but it’s only left or right side. I agree, I’d play him on the inside sometimes too. But it’s not just that -dial stuff up with other guys more often too. They send Trevathon a decent amount but we only see them send Smith once in a while (for example).

Bottom line is.. a good coordinator should have plays he can dial up in key situations and I don’t feel like Fangio does. I think Fangios skill is game preparation and coaching guys up, not in game play calling. He seems to come up short there. Lovie, as good as he was overall, was similar in that way. Very good at preparing guys and coaching them up, very lost if the team he was playing was eating up his defensive scheme..

He was standing up off the snap. Clear sign of fatigue.

Mack should be in shape by now. Kind of pathetic.

Did you morons even watch the game?

1. It was 90 degrees. Any team other than Miami would have been "gased".
2. Adam Gase double teamed Mack most of the game.
3. Stupid penalties, turnovers in the red zone, and the heat is why the Bears lost.

Positives:
1. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky growing pains
2. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky experience
3. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky fought back

I still think that Mack got hurt in the 1st half.

For sure it was on Radio. He spent time in the medical tent and was retapped according to Grote.

This loss hurt.
