It took you this long to pick up these traits about Goff? I've been telling you this for years. When Goff was just a punk kid producer in his 20s he was cool. Shortly before he left for Atlanta he developed that "unjustified level of ego" that you speak of.

Can almost guar someone like Kap is the highest media guy in town making over 500K. He does ESPN 1000, CSN, college basketball for the east coast in the tournaments.

I would guess and it is a guess that Goff or anyone in the peak time makes between 150-200K starting(bernstein obviously makes more). I could be wrong. Maybe a few thousand for a lawyer is worth it, but it seems extremely low pay for a lawyer.

Most financial professionals in the loop, dentists,doctors, etc. make much much more. Again if you have a family of 5-6 that is maybe upper middle class at best. In California or NYC you are surviving on that money.

My guess would be 100K from CSN. That is a low rent operation. The women they get on that show all look like casting call ladies from the Models on Parade talent agency

Goff on with Caron Butler 9 to noon today. Having Butler there keeps Goff from going off the rails and makes for a much better show than when he tries to go solo.

I think that very few people are full time on any of the SiriusXM sports channels. Of the baseball guys, Steve Phillips has a full week's worth of shows and Jim Memolo and Todd Hollandsworth had that spot for a few years until Todd went to Florida. Most of the other guys do 2-4 shifts a week, and most of the non-players and even some of the players do pre/post for radio or TV in their local markets.

But it seems like SiriusXM is like a community college on the sports side - a lot of freelancers who are trying to cobble enough shifts on various channels together to pretend that they have a full time job, even though they're not getting paid shit. Still, it has to pay more than a producer job, and probably more than a drive time host in a third tier city like a Norfolk.

Goff to cover the Big Ten??? People are still employing him? He was on the Final Word and being an Illinois fan(yes I know how bad the Illini are in all revenue sports) Goff says Love is in year 3 and he has a veteran team.

Reality - The Illini are one of the youngest teams in all of College Football. They suck, really bad and Smith is not good, but the lack of basic knowledge when commenting. Takes 5 minutes to research.

Did he really say that? They have the 2nd most underclassmen in college football from what I've seen. They only have like 8 Seniors.

listening now. its not terrible. really like anthony. goff is doing ok too. I will say it doesn't seem like goff knows big 10 football well. ant is carrying it for the most part. no references to the nba yet.

I hope this new gig doesnt prevent anthony herron from picking up shifts on WSCR.

I imagine he is seasonal at the network with somebody like Stephen Bardo taking the reigns once basketball season is in full swing. Maybe not. The seasons run concurrent until January 1.
