doug was the first person I saw from the board about 15 years ago. We were at a White Sox game independent of each other but fate sat us in consecutive rows. I don't remember how I knew it was him or he me, as this wasn't a planned meeting. I just gave him a head nod and he to me and we went about our day.

Come on, there's more to that story! The board never came up? How did you know who the other guy was?

Spaulding has been to every internet board gathering I have ever gone and that is not limited to this board.

I was very reluctant to ever go to a meet up but Mac and Spiegs hosted a white sox tailgate and I thought that would provide a safe zone. I think Frank was the first official conversation. However, I remember Spaulding's voice being distinctly audible above the noise of the crowd and across the expanse of the entire party area.

doug was always open about posting his pictures and he has a distinctive look. I think I told him I was going to the game that day.

You can confirm it with doug. I was with my at the time very young family. He was with his friends.

Forgot whoever was at the golf outing like 8 years ago. I just remember burping up a lot of Pepsi.

Frank is a great conversationalist. I spent a lot of time with him that day...and then he went off with another man with whom he shared glasses of wine throughout the Sox game while I sat about 20 rows behind them with my family.

The tailgate was sponsored by Miller and the beer was flowing until it wasn't. Luckily enough I met spanky and his wife who were happy to turn their heads as I took beers from their cooler. Good guy that spanky. His head is not nearly as big as reported

Eaglo. Doug directed Mitch to Frank and Eaglo with tix after I came meandering back from somewhere with 2 seats in right field.

I forgot about dolphin stealing beers from Spanky.

Yeah. I was ready to head to Buffalo Wings & Rings with Spaulding and the gang, when Spiegs walked up to Eaglo, handed him two upper deck tickets, and told us to have fun. For about the one thousandth time, Eaglo had one wine. I stuck with beer. That was a long day for me. Band practice in the late AM/early PM in Roselle, tailgate, game, then a bachelor party after.

It was a really good game. Crisply and swiftly played. I remember Beckham hit an RBI triple early on, and I think that was the game Konerko hit a late solo HR off of Cashner to propel the Sox to their 18th win in 20 games or something like that.

Fixed Glee was around a short while, went under another name before that, and was the genesis of the biker board fiasco.

Correct.

I know Bowling was the first .... now that you mention it maybe there was a quick 'hi' between us at a B&B Remote in Geneva or St. Charles or something.

Didn't someone create a mult for Irish Guy that beat you up after the soccer viewing thing at the Globe? I think that needs to be accounted for in your list.

I went to my only remote about 20 years ago. HFC were at a place called All Stars, on Greenleaf in Park City.

Were any of you there?

Plus you guys who I saw at the golf outing.

I did a board meetup for a b&b remote at Cleo's (on Damen) and I think two bulls games + the mcnuggets hoedown. That's how I ended up on lists here, and oh yeah I also met up JORR+Lady JORR in Evanston for some old baseball films thing @ northwestern where good dolphin made an appearance (along with.... Gary from Evanston? The WYC caller who had the Expos' HR sound at the end of his craps.)

Oh yeah I also sat next to old B&b intern Johnny Doingthings at a sox/Yankees game early in the Gordon Beckham era. He was =] knowing that Doug and OB were coming back to the station (after the Webio debacle) before it was general knowledge. I had opined that it just wasn't the same without Doug + OB after games and he immediately had a giant =] like "hey you never know what will happen between now and the start of the season" --- of course Doug + OB were back for the start of the season. #ExcitingStories #ActionGalore

Oh yeah and during one of those Bulls games hrrrbbb Lawrence / @ecnerwal23 was miss cookie's escort to the stadium. He was a good solid sports conversation that had you like "damn he DOESN'T breathe different air than us pantsless cretins!" Same general sentiment when I ended up sitting next to the Bernstein family dinner after B&B ended at Cleo's... For all of the "larger than life" persona BeerSTAIN can warrant around here once the show ended he was just a normal (short) guy with a normal (short?) family having dinner at the table next to us and it was like "HOLY SHIT THIS IS THE MAN/MYTH/LEGEND WHO TALKS ABOUT GETTING WANG-WHIPPED BY BIG BLACK STUDS... having a family dinner at the table next to us!"

Suffice to say, nobody bugged Lil Danny and his Lil family (his wife is short too) during dinner, tho it woulda been =] to see the look on Mrs. B's face if someone manned up and brought up "Hey kids did you know your dad is famous/ish because he has a thing for getting WANG-WHIPPED by BIG BLACK STUDS?" --- lamentably we were on our best behavior that night.
