It won't be long before it becomes obvious that he should be. Portis fizzled after the first quarter and his defense was terrible. And i like Portis but he isn't better than Jabari Parker.

I don't know who is better between the two. Portis plays harder and is better in the post than Jabari but obviously not on the perimeter. Might be a better shooter tho.

Either way the lack of defensive players on this team is going to crush them all year.

Jabari Parker is better and has always been better. He is a better finisher ball handler and finisher than Portis. Portis plays hard but i don't overrate that. He is a terrible defender. Worse than Parker in fact. Jabari is also a better shooter.

They won't be good defensively but they will get better as the season goes on. Their continuity willl get better which will make them better.

They were missing two starters one of whom is probably their best player. This is a playoff team barring a major injury.

Two guys Blakeney and Achiondo? are D Leaguers that shouldn't be playing and Holiday is nothing more than a rotation player. You won't know what they have until they have their full complement of players.

Their defense is gonna be close to the worst or the worst by the end of the season. It's going to keep them below 30 wins.

Another Bulls pick who wins the summer league and is useless during the season. Is Wendell “Black Doug”?

What are you talking about? WCJ is 19 and was matched up against one of the best big men in the league and looked pretty solid in his 20 minutes. Not sure what more you expected. Carter will be good.

Expected someone who could play more than 20 minutes and get more than 3 rebounds. Who gives a shit what his age is? It’s not like he is a twig whose balls haven’t dropped. Man up and act like a top pick. Not a project who will be good someday.

Always wise to judge a rookie exactly one game into their career.

Box score scouting usually doesn't go well. Especially after 1 game like rfdc said. He looked pretty good in his debut.

WCJ was totally overwhelmed last night. He got whistled any time he looked in Embiid’s direction. Let’s see how he looks against the other “big men.”

Um what are YOU talking about? He looked lost, weak, took bad shots, didn't go for easy rebounds. Not judging him on one game but it was not a good first game. He even admitted post game he didn't play good

I think when healthy the Bulls can be one of the best teams in the East. I have no problem with them sucking to try to get Zion.

The talent isn't horrible on average but some major weak spots plus a horrific coach. 20-25 wins.

You are running around hitching your wagons to bums like Trae Young and you are dissing Jabari Parker? Oh yeah for the record Fultz didn't look bad. Jabari Parker will be fine. Bookit. You probably dissed the Zach Lavine resigning too. Your thoughts on basketball are terrible. You diss everything til one of your silly proclamations sticks. How is the Ben "Can't Shoot bum" thing working out for you? he will be in the All Star in his 2nd year and his stats as a rookie rival those of Magic Johnson at the same stage. Look it up.

Ben Simmons was technically a rookie last season.

2017-18 is Ben Simmons' rookie year. He won ROTY.

Same thing has happened to Blake Griffin and others.

What he won't acknowledge is that he would have an easier road to ROTY the year before. That class was terrible.

If he didn't play well it wouldn't matter. He was a rookie.

How's your Mello love remember he was going to make OKC a top team...then when you realized he was over the hill you back out ...but you have selective memory...and you didn't acknowledge Embiid only played 31 games Ben was out which would have cut his assist in half

What the hell ramble is this? Carmelo Anthony has been in the NBA 15 years if he fades so what. Happens to everyone at some point. When i thought he was good he was. He is in the Hall of Fame. In fact i had him to start fading around the time that he did.

If you don't believe me ask Nas. Its why i understood him not doing the 2 and out "gamble on himself" move. He would have left a lot of money on the table had he done that. His game left him sooner than i thought so what. Still had a great career.

Now Ben Simmons only gets assist because he plays with Embiid. This is getting dumber by the minute.
