Its probably not PC to say but I was a fan of A.K.A. Pablo back in the day. It was a funny show.

And that Paul Rodriguez was great in it. Too bad the controversy killed his career.

Simpsons ended 15 years ago, so I don't know why this is such a big deal.

what was the defining moment it ended 15 years ago? I dont know, not a fan so asking. I don't think the show is anything special but I guess it has a big following.

TBH, that's when I stopped regularly watching. The quality was turning to shit already. Up to that time it was "bad Simpsons is still better than everything else". That was soon no longer becoming the case.

Now I just watch reruns on FXX. it's... interesting... to watch more current episodes. They're not all horrible, but something is definitely off. It's almost like The Simpsons had it's original run & it's reboot w/o a break in between.

Season 12, the last Mike Scully season, is where I draw the line. That was the one with "Trilogy of Error," the last great episode. There were many poor episodes from 9-12, more bad than good (in fact, it turns out a lot of the best ones from that era like the Scientology one were episodes where David Mirkin, Jean/Reiss, or Oakley/Weinstein pinch-hit as showrunner), but from 13 on, there's nothing there.

Opinions vary on the defining moment: most people say the fake Principal Skinner episode, a few say Frank Grimes, I've heard "Behind the Laughter" thrown around as the real series finale. I'm not sure the show truly jumped the shark on screen. If I had to pick a point, I guess I would say that the show never recovered from losing Phil Hartman.

yeah a few people like it, think it had a little influence
