Man, I forget Dennis Green used to coach that team. The guy was a baby.

He's not who I thought he was.

It’s a bad sign that 10-45 record can be referred to as turning a program around.

Blackhawks I'm stumped

Nas told us that he would be "shocked if this Bulls team finishes lower than 5th or 6th in the East."

99 Bulls was my first thought.

2016 Bears

2012-13 Cubs

Gotta say Floyd era Bulls were the worst of the worst.

Were they really, or was that a hangover effect at how sharp the drop off from winning 3 championships in a row?

To me, the right answer is the Blackhawks from 1998-2008.

2006-07 was grim but had moments of promise (and moments that seemed promising but were actually total garbage, we call this "Tony Salmelainen"), and 2007-08 was when things really started looking up. I think they were ultimately a season-ending Toews injury away from falling face-first into the 8 seed. It's gotta be 2003-04 as the absolute low point of the organization.

Big Ten Coach of the Year with three victories one season

Do the Illini count?

Gary Moeller's Illini or Lovie Smith's Illini

Addendumb to the idiot who sad "the late seventies were mediocre": The Sting were just a year or two away from reaching their zenith.

For me, it was the 2011 White Sox. They signed Dunn, Konerko and AJ in the off season and should have won the AL Central that year. They lost 9 of 12 (or something like that) in late April and were never over .500 again. Guillen wore out his welcome and left at the end of the season. It was such a shitshow and the team really hasn't recovered since.

Yes, but they can't read or write.

Lesser-known teams? CSU or NEIU hoops. The incels of Chicago sports.

I cannot for the life of me understand why Chicago State is so bad at basketball. They play in a conference with no other urban recruiting bases. You would think there are enough guys who slip through the cracks in high school in this city for CSU to scoop up and keep eligible for a couple of years.

I've wondered about the ineptitude of their program and UIC for 20+ years now.

This is correct...although I was a big fan of Kornel David :drunken: . The rookie class was actually quite solid.

Larry Walker was taking off his glove to show us in the RF bleachers how many losses the Cubs were starting the season with...eventually 0-14.

I think he was holding up around 11 at that time.

I've always hated Larry Walker since then.

On the other...hand, Moises Alou, when he was with Houston, clearly had a can of chew in his back pocket and somebody in the bleachers asked for a dip and Moises threw the can up into the bleachers so the guy could partake and then the fan threw the can back to him. This was in-between innings. After that, the bleachers were screaming for him to sign with the Cubs the next year.

Knowing what I know now, I might not have taken that dip if I were that fan.

Cardinals were winless in '43 and then again in '44 when they combined with the Steelers during the war. Then they finally won one game in '45.
