It's got some good scenes and bits but I detest Ben Stiller. No movie with his unfunny ass in it could ever be a top five comedy.

We was great in Happy Gilmore. He was great in Mary. Other than that not a fan.

I think Tropic Thunder was possibly one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

And Erotic Lawyer is right. I would add Mystery Men to his list, but other than that, Ben Stiller is the drizzling shits.

If you didnt find this movie funny, your comedy sensor is broken.

Top 5 all time is a bit much. Its probably top 5 of this centuries comedies though.

Yeah, it's a great comedy. Maybe it holds up, maybe it doesn't, but on the first viewing years ago it was awesome.

I am the same way. I only like him in Dodgeball.

I may have to re-watch Tropic Thunder given all the love here. I have only seen it once, and it didn't do much for me. But there is sure a lot of love for it around this place.

Denis, I would suggest approaching the movie with the perspective it is a commentary on Hollywood and unchecked egos in the movie industry.

Plus a lot of Downey and Cruise's dialogue/acting was improvisation. Which should add to the appreciation.
