Low turnout here as well. Warm but rainy.

We made it through both boxes of Hershey's bars and Twizzlers (?) and 1 box of the Reese's and 1 Kitkat.
It's nice here but our community also has a trunk or treat and many only go only that.

We only went thru 3 bags of candy. DW handed out only a few tiny wines. The kids wanted the glow flashy epilepsy rings instead of candy. Oh we also handed out bottles of bubbles. The bubbles went over better than I thought.

I didn't bring a 6 pack with in the wagon.......but I also didn't say no to the shots at a few of the houses. I thought this was a WI thing as i have never seen it anywhere before. The people handing out candy have also taken it to a new level. Instead of answering the door they were in their driveways with tents set up and fire pits and a cooler....it was like a tailgate.

Everyone was drinking on the streets here. Adult halloween > kids halloween.

One thing that surprised me was kids choosing Pringle’s over candy.

Halloween is great. Walking from house to house around the neighborhood seeing everyone out and drinking brings a warm feeling in my chest.

That might be the whiskey.

Either way.

I don't care if people want to drink a bit, but they shouldn't be shitfaced. Also, put some rum in coffee or something. Don't be carrying around a bunch of empty beer cans while you're falling all over yourself. Embarrassing.

Are you in Onieda?

Was a monsoon here in Houston. Had one solid hour to take the Little Posts out for candy.

We have approx 2 tons of candy left. I gave a whole bag of candy to the last group of kids. Just an unopened bag. Also had to send father in law home with a shit ton of airplane booze because of the low turnout.

Father in law is very happy. We made a ton of corny “Boos vs Booze” jokes.

That said, fun night, Happy Halloween to all.

Yea, it's definitely becoming more prevalent.

I think probably because when we were kids, once you were like what? 8-9 years old you went out with friends and no parents? There's too many parents on the streets.

I took everyone's advice and put a tiki bar on wheels while walking around the neighborhood. All the costumes and open alcohol made it feel just like Mardi Gras without the beads. I withdraw my complaint. It is completely appropriate to drink for kid's events. I may start a pre school just so I can drink every day.

I'll be pulling up to the Easter Egg Hunt in this:

We have moved to full sized candy bars this year. So we have become that house.

I give out the full sized too. I like seeing some of the kids reactions or when they turn and yell at their mom, "full size!".

Had a young brother/sister Kylo Ren and Rey. When I gave them the candy instead of saying 'thank you' they said 'may the force be with you'. I can be an old curmudgeon about some things, but I enjoy Halloween.
