That's really sad. He was an all-time great caller and played a pivotal role in helping build the station's early identity. He had some fantastic on-air battles with North and Jiggetts.

Wild Bill was my sentimental favorite, because he used to call Chet while I was working on my dissertation and he'd give Chet hell about the Bulls and the Bears.

He was a fun listen. I caught the tail end of his calling days as the health was clearly failing. When he was on it was great.

I remember seeing him at a White Sox Indians game in the 90s walking up and down the aisles taunting people. Seemed to love the attention and calling himself Cleveland Mike. He called in recently when Terry was in didn't he? Sounded fine then.

Yeah I felt kinda bad for her. The creeps really turned out for her show. I was working long hours back then and caught her show pretty often. I remember a guy called and said he thought Kerry Wood was going to have a good year then quickly changed the subject to bikini waxing.

I think I listened to her last show. The Cubs had just signed Maddux but she had another topic lined up. She said Drew Hayes called the station and told her to take Maddux calls. Several times she said she was taking Maddux calls because Drew Hayes told her she had to. She would not let it go. She was really upset and almost crying.
