I lived in Atlanta in that era. Fortunately TBS was a local station, and everything sports broadcast had to have Jordan highlights. Oddly gramps Granville never made the shows.

Jason Bere finished 23rd in the MVP race when his SO/W ratio was 1.59 and his WHIP was over 1.4

Edit: His W-L is 71-65 so I guess he is good according to SOME here.

Case McNown was Peyton Manning compared to Johnathan Quin.

If we are talking on-field talent, I agree.
Quinn off-field was meh at worst, McNown was a complete douchebag asshole. Fuck Cade McNown.

It's a shame the word professional is in the title, because I vividly remember video of the basketball 1 meet up that happened with this group.

It's Quinn and it ain't even close. Peterman has demonstrated he can throw a forward pass at a decent enough velocity. The passes don't end up in the right person's hands but at least it's a pass that travels in the air. That's more than Quinn ever did.

That's an incredibly generous description of Nathan Peterman

I'm comfortable saying he's the worst still.

What was so generous? All I said is he can throw a ball forward. The interception numbers indicate his ability to throw the ball forward. I'm not sure Quinn ever understood the concept of the forward pass.

Both of them can throw passes. Petermans do not have velocity and are routinely 10 yards away from the targeted WR

Quinn had the mobility of a statue. He threw as a last resort kind of thing. His first inclination was to hold on to the ball and wait for the pocket to collapse.

If Peterman did that he would help his team more than he has been.

Nacho Berrera. Bob Luce loved him but he couldn't pin a statue.

Sodbuster Kenny Jay was more unlucky than a bad athlete.

Let's talk about worst non-professional athletes.

Adult: Co-ed corporate rec league softball with a 14" ball, slow pitch with a 6'-12' restriction. This is underhand lob softball. New guy at the office shows up for our first practice. He was mid-20's. We start doing batting practice. The pitcher is laying it in there as gently as you can. After about ten swings and misses in a row, we ask the guy what is going on. He says he has never played softball before. We're like, well then why did you show up to play softball?

Middle school: We always did that national physical fitness events- 40 yard dash, sit ups, standing long jump, pull ups, etc, etc. I could not believe how many kids could not do even one pull up. It was one out of four.

Elementary school: The gym teacher used to have us play leap the creek, essentially a running long jump contest. He would set up two mats spread out with the "creek" in between them. The object, of course, was to jump from one mat to the other without hitting the gym floor. There was one kid who did the equivalent of missing the first Bozo bucket and could not leap over a foot length spread in the mat. Watching this kid try to long jump 12 inches unsuccessfully has always stuck in my mind as the worst example of athletic ability ever.

We had two of those guys on my HS track & cross country teams, always came to practice, but for the life of me I can't recall seeing them in actual track meets. And believe me, most of the rest of us always watched them for laughs. Cross Country at least had the novice division where those two routinely battled for next to last.
