The Lions are 3-5 and the Vikings are in 2nd place. If the Bears win the next 3 games something tells me that wouldn't be good enough. Having good football to watch on Sunday and having a future to be optimistic about is great.

MANY look for reasons to be pessimistic. They expect the worst every week.

Terrible comparison. Do you enjoy the daily complaints about the Bears?

It's not about enjoying or not enjoying. It's Bears fans personal opinions on the team.

I am hopeful for this team going forward but I'm not going to stop posting what I feel are shortcomings about this team because they have shown improvement.

So you're indifferent about the sky is falling. That's fine. It becomes annoying to me when it basically becomes a weekly bit by some.

I'm hopeful as well. I too will continue to point out the improvements that I would like to see. I'll also point out the things that I like.

I haven’t been an NFL fan for at least ten years. I only watch the Bears for the most part.

Hell, at this point, I’m just thankful they’re now watchable.

Being Cubs fans has destroyed you guys. This probably isn't a Super Bowl team this year, but it appears that, for the first time in probably 15 years, the Bears have gotten MANY things right. I'd rather be optimistic on where this thing might go, than focus on some of the little things that will likely improve as things move along.

If that makes me a meatball, then pass the sauce and the grated parmesan.

Agreed. Thankfully there are Cub fans like Frank and myself to help keep the rest of you guys in line. 8)

No, I'm not indifferent. The sky is not falling. I've already said I'm hopeful. And I don't think anyone who posted criticisms in this thread thinks the sky is falling.

Mama Mia, that’s a spicy meatball.

I don't think anyone here has been like OB and Hampton where they're always miserable and screaming.

People seem happy with wins but cautious.

I agree. I don't think they understand what fans loved about Doug and OB. Doug was a huge Bears fan and he lived and died with the team. That came across on air. No one wants you to be negative just for the sake of being negative

McHaflwit is always miserable and screaming, just not about the Bear.

Just saw that the Bears ran 45 plays from scrimmage. The Bill's had 81.

The D appears to have found their wind. They were going hard and fast all the way to the end.

The Bears’ D is good to great, but Buffalo does not have a professional offense.

Bears had 190yds of total offense, more penalties than completed passes...and still won. Traceable, I'm sure, to the great field position they kept getting to start drives. Still, pretty amazing stat line to go with a W.

Not any progress from Mitch, but a win is a win.

We should run the table against Detroit and fuck the Vikings up. That would be 8-3 and sitting pretty for the Division and playoffs. Mack and Robinson come back next week. This team is in good shape.

The shutout was not possible with perhaps the worst officiating crew of all time.

Hold on a minute, I think they just called another phantom penalty on Amukamura (bad Rosenbloom reference).

But the defense is devastating. I see Pro Bowl caliber players all over the place. We are spoiled rotten and nobody should be bitching and moaning. But like a few posters said, it seems to be a problem with Cub fans. It’s a mental disease. Thank Christ that my dad brought me up the right way and told me that I shall worship Carlton Fisk, or otherwise, it could be me posting like Hank Scorpio (an otherwise good poster who is guilty of putting forth bad vibes).

Yeah the bludgeoned ‘em, but, but...

Shut the fuck up!
