It was absolutely delightful to watch Chris Paul and Tony Parker in the 4th quarter tonight.

i mean it's not just how good they are either, sometimes it's about the "relationship" they develop with the refs too. it's a weird thing, i'm not saying it's necessarily right...i think fouls can be a maddening part of the game, but they are part of the game. like i said, it's just the way it is.

Yeah I agree that it's the way it is, and there's probably some unavoidable subconscious bias involved.

I don't complain about it, but at the same time I don't think it should be the case, that's what I had an issue with.

Damn KG and the Celtics need to stop talking about how hungry they are for a championship and start acting like it. They have way too much Detroit in them right now, and none of the history to at least explain it.

The hangin' judge came in unnoticed and was being wined and dined,
The drillin' in the wall kept up but no one seemed to pay it any mind.
It was known all around that Lily had Jim's ring
And nothing would ever come between Lily and the king.
No, nothin' ever would except maybe the Jack of Hearts.

If the Celtics somehow win the title, they better not have any highlights from their road playoff games. This is really turning into a joke. 4 road playoff games, and basically all ass kickings.

Oh wow, very nice Zach. A couple of my buddies make fun of me for liking that song since its amidst so many gems on that cd, but it truly displays his ability to tell a story.

yeah i guess that came from...watching the game (sound off of course  ) and was listening to the album, that song came on and that's what came to mind...with alcohol in the belly obviously. but yeah, again, listen to the lyrics, it's a damn fun song. an allegorical romp i like to call it.

Great game in Utah today. A bit disappointed in Kobe jacking threes all 4th quarter when he was clearly able to get good looks in the third in the paint on Brewer. Took him till 1:30 left in the 4th to start doing it again, but he has done a great job of facilitating.

Phil has done an excellent job coaching today, especially calling plays out of timeouts. Seems like they have gotten fantastic looks. Derek Fisher showed up huge, shooting them back in the game today, and playing unbelievable defense on Deron's last shot, and Odom has played fantastic.

Goin to overtime! I love this game! Yes I know Im an NBA dork.

Once again the Celtics wet the bed on the road. I don't get how a team can look so damn good at home, and then look just as bad on the road. I think Barkley was right in the pre-game, when he said they don't have a true leader who says I'm going to take this game over and you guys follow. They have 3 star players, but none of them are taking the leadership to kick the team in the ass, and get them going on the road.

Starting to think Garnett might actually be a clubhouse cancer in a strange way

It would be nice if Paul Pierce or Ray Allen showed up for a road game.

I think in a close game, in the 4th quarter, the big 3 should be taking all the shots. Last night Allen had 1, KG 2, and Pierce had 7. For KG and Allen to only have 3 combined shots is a joke. I heard where Rondo had the most 4th quarter shots, that shouldn't be happening. Doc needs to find a way to get them the looks they need.

I think this was some concern about the big 3 from the beginning- who is going to take the clutch shots. Garnett defers way too much (nothing new) and Allen seems like he is too

Rondo has been playing pretty well but I agree outside of some wide open looks created by the big 3, the big 3 should be taking all the shots in the 4th quarter

You've yet to show anyone you should be taken seriously, and like Danny Mac says, you would probably benefit from some couch time.

Does anyone care about the Pistons? I dont think I've seen any Pistons talk in here but that was a gift by the Magic last night. Every time the Magic made a run they'd shit themselves with a TO or two. The Pistons did win without Billups. Stuckey stepped up well. Pistons will win the East.

We expect them to make it to the ECF. It's only a story when they don't make it.

From what I've seen from the Celtics, they should get past them into the Finals.

As a non-basketball fan, the whole playoffs have a railroad-track type feel that makes all other analysis pointless. Why bother breaking down the games if home teams just keep winning? The whole thing seems preordained. Now I know that it's unlikely that this will continue through all these series (serieses? Serii?) or even through this round, but, man, would some team take a step forward and win a game on the road? You'd think a basketball court is a basketball court and the location thereof wouldn't be so overwhelming a factor.

oh yes daddy, please take me seriously, I need to be loved on a message board to get some fulfillment in my broken, depressing life. Your avatar is of the most overrated musician of all time and your screen name is for the biggest hillbilly, druggy this side of Rush Limbaugh.

Bagels, please let Miley Cyrus shit in your mouth and make sure you send me the pics.

Its very strange. I dont understand it either. Home court is obviously an advantage, like it is in every sport, but its weird how big it is in these playoffs. I expect it from teams like the Hornets and Jazz, but its surprising when it effects the Spurs.

If I had to bet right now, I'd say they are the favorites to win the title if Billups comes back 100%. I know they havent faced the toughest competition, but they have shown they can win on the road and closed out a decent Magic team in 5 games without Billups. They are 2nd only to the Spurs in playoff toughness and experience. If they are actually hungry for another title and dont want to be the Atlanta Braves, they would be my pick right now to win it all.

Yeah Nas - Gasol was very good last night, but no one is talking about Odom. He's playing big in the playoffs. Double double last night.

Who gave Vujacic the right to shoot more than 10 times? He was atrocious.

I like this Jazz team but they need something. I think it's their bench. Korver is an ok 6th man, but outside of Harpring they have a bunch of end of the bench players there. They need to add some depth and experience on the bench next year to get to the next level. Don't let FF see this but Deron Williams is as good as Chris Paul.

Gasol reminds me of Parker in that way. In general when I think about them, I dont consider them "elite" at their respective positions, but they always end up leaving me thinking they are as good as anyone in the league at what they do.

No he's not, but I get your point. It's no longer atrocious that they chose Deron over Paul in the draft, but he isnt on Paul's level. What Chris Paul does to defenders is just silly. As much as I despise the term mancrush, I've never liked an athlete not affiliated with my team as much as this guy. Its absolutely thrilling to watch him play.
