Nobody should be untradeable. You don't necessarily have to have guys like Bryant or Rizzo "on the trading block", but if somebody is going to give you the keys to the kingdom in exchange for one of those guys, you have to have a discussion about making the move.

Trading Bryant would be too much of a PR hit for the Cubs and unless he is permanently hurt, they would be selling at a terrible low point.

Aren't the Cubs currently committed to a $~220M payroll for next season if they made no moves and just bring everyone back as they are? Even if it's $200M , how is this closing the checkbook?

Rickets has to be irate over Heyward, Darvish, Chatwood signings. Will these blunders slow down new signings of free agents? But,Theo has few other options.
