I'd take the points in a heartbeat, but I don't think Alabama would keep it within two TDs

Buffalo would cover that in first half. 60 to 75 percent of the current Alabama players wont even make an NFL roster.

QB disparity matters. If Nathan Peterman is QB could easily be a Bama win. If Allen or Anderson are QB Buffalo probably wins by 21 or so.

60 to 75% of Buffalo's offense shouldn't be on an NFL roster either.

People always say that the younger kids aren't mature enough, but I'm always reminded that Lew Alcindor's freshman team at UCLA blew out their upperclassmen defending national champions.

I know it's a different sport, but with the Peter Man playing, all bets are off.

There are levels to all of this. Nathan Peterman had two very good years at Pitt. He sucks as a pro, but was solid in college.

Compare what he did to what Tua is doing now. It's different universes.

Compare the defenses he faces now to what Alabama faces?

That still leaves between 21 and 33 that will make an NFL roster. And as FF said, most of the buffalo offense shouldn't be there either.

I just love this Vegas stunt.

I'm sure Tua will likely be a better pro, but the point is Tua qnd Alabama do not see anything near the same thing as the Bills at the college level.

Well the Bills have 53 players who have made an NFL roster. Alabama has 50-60 players on scholarship who will never be good enough to make a team like the Bills.

But those Alabama kids have much more talent.

Probably still wouldn't win, but I'd take the 28.5 with the Peter Man playing.

The only reason I'm taking the Bills by 3 TDs or so is because they have a good defense and that would decide the game.

Throw Buffalo's offense with Oakland's defense straight up vs Alabama and make Gruden the coach of the pro team and I'll take Alabama to win. If Peterman is starting I'll take Alabama to win by 6+. And I generally think the worst pro teams would destroy the best college teams but this Bills offense has a legit claim to worst NFL offense in the modern era.

They don't really even play the same sport. Bills would beat them by 50 , at a minimum.

This reminds me of the argument people make about how UConn women's team could win games against men's college teams when in actuality they would struggle to beat any high school team in the Sun-Times Super 25. Even dog shit NFL players were very good college players and would have been good enough to start at Alabama in most cases.

They're also smaller or slower, or both, and have less experience playing the game. The Bills' lines would bully Bama's lines, and the receivers would run right over Bama's secondary.

I see what you are saying RR, but, and correct me if I am wrong, didn't those UCLA teams have crazy size and power? Not just Kareem/Lew and Walton, but a string of 6-6 to 6-8 guys with power....Marques, Wicks...I know Jamaal Wilkes wasn't a power guy, but he had decent size. That big Sven guy from Denmark or whatever....man, they had size. Would have love to have seen them play. Could have beat some of the shitty ABA/NBA teams?

Iirc only Sidney Wicks was on the freshman team. But they all were string bean 17-18 year olds.

From reading this thread my conclusion is that MANY have not seen Nathan Peterman throw a football. They are more fortunate men than I.

I'd think they could've given one of the lesser ABA teams the business.

No. I've watched Peterman play, especially without James Connor taking the pressure off him like at Pitt.

Is McCoy healthy for the game? If so, Buffalo will just play keep away and wear down the Alabama defense. It might be 14-7 at the half, but Buffalo would roll in the 4th quarter.

The interesting game to me is this: Let Alabama have an extra eligible receiver on offense and another player on defense, but not on special teams.

I also think that Alabama would beat the worst team in the CFL, by either CFL or NCAA rules.

FF got ahold of some crack, 5 players at most can even make the Bills roster.
