We choose to go win the National Championship. We choose to go do so in this decade, like this year, and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.

I've always wondered what were "the other things"?

It was a delightful listen in the tractor. Sat with the door open and engine off for last 8 minutes of game and enjoyed the sunshine. Mainly because if I went home I’d have to work more.

We sat and drank with the sun on our shoulders, and felt like free men. We could'a been harvesting the field of the guy that always does it too late.

We were the Lords of all Creation.

Unfortunately I spent the last four hours harvesting corn that was going down. Not nearly as pleasant as the midday job. And damned if I didn’t wish I had a portable cooler with cold bohemian beer to drink. Christmas present perhaps.

I like Northwestern's unis. Nice, classic look.

Hopefully that can capitalize on that fumble.

2-7 Nebraska favored by 17.5 against 4-5 Illinois. No 2-win team has ever been favored by more against a 4-win team.

Says a lot about how bad Illinois is.

And they are up 7-0 in the first minute. They may put up 800 yards and 80 points today. Fighting Lovies look like they aren’t happy it’s cold.

The announcers for the OSU/MSU were ridiculous at the end. The one guy went on and on about what a great job of coaching Urban has done and how he has his boys ready now that it matters. They nearly lost to fucking Nebraska last week after getting shit housed by Purdue. Today they were beating Michigan State by 13 or whatever it was and that is now some amazing feat?

No.

They've done all they can do. He's going to get another raise. Recruits are still being told he plans to be there 5 more years.

If he goes then there wasn't more that could be done and good luck to him with thanks for the big strides they made in two years.

The funny thing is that this season the general consensus was Notre Dame and the NFL are the big threats. Louisville isn't a big enough job. I guess we will see.

I think it's pretty close right now but I won't feel good until the Tuesday after the season is over. The draw back to Louisville seems strong.

I'm confident they will find a quality replacement if needed. The turnaround by the administration has been remarkable the last 3 years.

Hopefully he is. We need a young offensive mind like him.

Bobby Petrino was just fired, is owed $13MM and it was announced on his coach's show.
