Heisenberg is at Dolphin level right now. Great work.

Big Frank was insanely dominant. His power and great eye made him nearly impossible to pitch to.

Thanks, Peeps! My original post about Sosa was a joke, but when guys started taking it seriously I ran with it.

Frank was awesome, and I never left my seat when he was due up.

It's not just the White Sox. These idiots at ESPN are fucking stupid. They sent a tweet congratulating the Colorado Rockies for making the playoffs for the first time since 2009. The Rockies also made the playoffs last year. ESPN must have fired all the really smart people because the ones they have there now are a bunch of dopes.

Here it is:

Better at what?

Hitting home runs. 609>521

He couldn't hit 20 home runs before the Flintstone vitamins and 6 years later he's hitting 66.

So, you're saying he should have taken them earlier like Frank did?

Very nasty! Frank was always big. Sosa showed up to spring training looking like the Michelin Man

Maybe Sammy was on the Konerko Diet. I think the Tribune wrote the annual January "best shape of his life" story about it.

Frank was one of the best hitters, RH or LH, that I've ever seen for an extended period of time.

But, if I had to bet money on whether he's always been clean, I'd go 55% yes.

The CMFB's baseball expert will chime in :

Big Hurt > Puljos .... and I'm a big NL guy.

Anyone old enough to remember young Big Hurt early 90s. A freaking monster. Guy was so great.

Sosa .....ya he hit more homeruns but HE CHEATED.

What will Frank be most remembered for : putting up historical #'s while not cheating in the Steroid Era.

I remember a great joke on the radio at the time, I think it was North or maybe Dahl . Or a caller.

Big Frank always had those spoiled brat moments early on. Frank was made about some little thing and the fans were pissed off. The next day on the radio one of the hosts said something to the effect 'oh shut up Big Gary Coleman'.

HAHAHAHAHA

He did sort of look like an overgrown Gary Coleman back in his early years.

In my humble opinion, he's the best hitter of the 90's if nothing else. Also, we all have to get used to the fact that we're invisible. If you're not from Chicago, the White Sox might as well not exist. In one way it's cool, you see someone in Sox gear, you can strike up a conversation and you'll probably find out they grew up within 15 miles of you. In other ways, you get the ridiculous list that started this thread or national media assuming 2016 was the first year this century a Chicago baseball team won the World Series.

i was going to mention that but i remember back then he did get more pub as a WSox player than I guess they would now.

Those 90s WSOX team were awesome, fun, exciting teams that I was extremely jealous of as a Cubs fan. They had a brand new stadium too and the media could not ignore them at the time. Still 2nd fiddle in the media eyes to the Cubs but as bad like these days.

1998 was special though. One of my favorite baseball summers of my childhood.

I don't know who the guy is but if he's some kind of baseball expert, get a new job.

If you don't appreciate how good Frank Thomas was, again, get a new job. It's not like he played 30 years before you were born. He was breaking Ted Williams records 20 years ago for consecutive seasons of doing 100s of things? Runs, RBIs, Hitting .300, a bunch of homers. Wasn't it Ted Williams?

it's ironic that these days I bet most young people only know Frank Thomas as the guy who sells performance enhancing sex drugs.
